Symmetry Software Names Elizabeth Oviedo as Chief Executive Officer, Founder and CEO Tom Reahard Transitions to Chairman

Symmetry Software has announced that it has appointed Elizabeth Oviedo as Chief Executive Officer. Elizabeth previously held the Chief Strategy Officer position and is the second CEO to be announced in the over 37 years of Symmetry Software's history.

In addition to Elizabeth's promotion, Symmetry Software announced that former CEO and Founder Tom Reahard will assume a new role as Chairman and Founder. Tom will continue to remain very active in Symmetry's software development while supporting Elizabeth in shaping product direction. The passing of the torch comes with the significant opportunity to accelerate Symmetry’s growth strategy and capitalize on the technological improvements Symmetry has introduced into its products and services over the past several years.

Symmetry Customer Spotlight

Netchex provides tax and human resource services, ranging from time and attendance programs to a full-service platform. The company focuses on payroll, including complicated state and local taxes, to ensure their offerings are compliant and ensure accuracy.

In 2009, Netchex's Founder and CEO, Will Boudreaux, was referred to Symmetry Software and, after viewing the capabilities of the Symmetry Tax Engine, quickly signed up for a free trial. Despite having the capacity to build the product themselves, they preferred to partner with Symmetry Software to help with their automating tax forms within their onboarding platform. Together, the Symmetry Tax Engine and Symmetry Payroll Forms help employees fill out the appropriate Federal, State and Local tax withholding forms and employers process payroll accurately.

Extended Due Date for Deferred Taxes

Employers who elected to defer their employees’ taxes were instructed to withhold and pay the deferred taxes during the beginning of the year. However, this period has recently been extended.
